Presbiopia is a refractive error which occurs due to natural aging process. The image of close objects falls behind the retina due to hardening of lens( hardening changes refractive power of lens). This can be corrected by using convergent lens i.e convex lens. However if the person is previously myopic, bifocal lens are used for correction.
